Orders and Shipping
Due to global supply shortages, labor challenges, and logistical delays, vendor production schedules may be delayed and could affect the arrival date of your order. While we strive to note affected sizes, colors, and items as quickly as possible, products may become temporarily out of stock before we can update the website. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding. If you have questions, our Sales and Customer Care Teams are ready to assist you.
We understand that getting your items quickly is important to you, so we make every effort to process your order quickly. We also know that you want to save money, so you'll find free shipping on over 50,000 products! We offer free shipping on orders over $49 and on most products you will find. Some larger items require delivery by freight and carry a fixed additional shipping fee. This fee will be noted on the product detail page and again during checkout.
Most items on thehomelightingshop.com are made-to-order light fixtures that are made in the USA or bespoke European light fixtures, and home decor and lighting that is made in the United States, and have lead times, which is the time it take to manufacture the item before it is shipped. Lead times vary by manufacturer and range from 6-8 weeks, and sometimes longer, depending on the designer and production schedule. Please note, we are a small, family business and some items may take weeks for fulfillment due to the nature of the product. Once an order is placed online and we capture payment information, customer service places the order into the system and made-to-order items are scheduled for production. Your chosen payment method will be charged when your order ships.
We will make every attempt to answer all emails within 48 hours Monday through Friday. Weekend emails enter the queue the next business day, and we make every attempt to answer those emails within 48 hours of the next business day following submission.
All attempts will be made to determine accurate lead times however, these dates are estimates and are subject to change by the vendor. Other items may be delayed due to COVID-19 production and supply chain issues that are beyond our control.
Estimated delivery time of each item is provided in the product description or shopping cart. Please note transit times do not include weekends and deliveries usually occur on business days. Please note, we are not Amazon and do not offer 2 day delivery.
All products listed on The Home Lighting Shop are available unless otherwise noted however, stock quantities are not updated in real time. All orders are placed in the order in which they were received and we can not guarantee the delivery of low stock items, even if the item was in stock at time of purchase.
Despite our best efforts and on rare occasions, vendor-provided product descriptions are inaccurate or posted with inaccurate images. If you have any doubt on the product quantity or product itself, including item specifications, please inquire before purchasing. Product pictures may vary from actual product you will receive (especially when new item versions are introduced).
After the online order is placed, credit approval and shipment (which varies based on lead time(s) and may be up to 6-8 weeks following your order date), delivery can take up to 7-10 business days depending on where you live. Our free shipping offer applies only to shipments made to the 48 continental U.S. states.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders containing pricing errors, with no further obligations to you, even after your receipt of an order confirmation or shipping notice from us. We may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND BILLING
By confirming your purchase at the end of the checkout process, you agree to accept and pay for the item or items ordered.
You must provide truthful and accurate billing information. Providing any untruthful or inaccurate information may result in order cancellation. Before we accept and process an order, we may also request that you provide additional information. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for any reason, including limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies, or errors in product or pricing information, or problems identified through our efforts to avoid fraud and/or account abuse.
We reserve the right to limit availability of, and/or to discontinue, any content, product, or other feature described or available on our site to any person, entity, geographic area, or jurisdiction, at any time and in our sole discretion, and to limit the quantities and/or cancel orders of any content, product, service, or other feature that we provide.
The receipt of an order number or an email order confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or a confirmation of an offer to sell.
TheHomeLightingShop.com reserves the right, without prior notification, to limit the order quantity on any item and/or to refuse service to any customer. Verbal abuse will not be tolerated and orders will be subject to immediate cancellation. Verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of any order. Prices and availability of products on the Site are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected when discovered, and TheHomeLightingShop.com reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions (including after an order has been submitted).
If we cancel your order after your credit card (or other payment account) has been charged, we will issue a credit to your credit card (or other applicable payment account) in the amount of the charge. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is canceled or if additional information is required to accept your order. We may request a pre-authorization for some orders placed online with a credit or debit card. This pre-authorization will not be billed to you; however, your card issuer may hold this amount for a short period. Your card issuer determines the length of time the pre-authorization is held. We do this to ensure that the card details are still valid and that you have sufficient funds to complete the transaction.
If for some reason you refused a package during delivery or provided wrong address details (e.g. suite/apt number, phone number with no answer or any other information that is missing or incorrect) your order will be returned to us and you will not be eligible for a full refund (actual shipping and return shipping charges with restocking fee will apply, made-to-order items are non-refundable, any made-to-order item refused or determined undeliverable will be donated to Habitat for Humanity).
Please note, freight deliveries are typically “curbside” delivery only, meaning that the carrier delivers items to the curb. You will be responsible for moving your order, furniture, light fixture, mirror, etc. into your home or business. If your business has a dock access to accommodate the trailer, the delivery can be made to the dock. Please note your dockside delivery request at the time of order.
We make every effort to pack items so they will arrive at your door safely. Despite our best efforts, sometimes breakage does occur.
If you receive damaged merchandise we will replace it as quickly as possible. Be sure to contact us within 24 hours of receiving delivery, and please keep all packing boxes and materials. Call Customer Service at 855-204-8480.
